this is wat u would call a open house?

Well to me its not a open house. A open house without people is like a desert without sand i mean like come on welcome to Harlemlive with nobody there except students and staff whats that who are u welcoming ghosts?Well to me its crazy if this goes wrong again Harlemlive will not reach any goal they need!

Humble Open House....

Well, although we didnt have the turn out we wanted, the open house was a success internally! Thanks guys for showing up to the first open house last night, i think we should applaud kareem for his outstanding! job with the showcase of finger foods! and Ena and Shelise for helping him, and around the place getting it all prettied up (if thats even a word!) i think we should also applaud Melvin Nana Noemi Mary Dennis (and whoever else went out that i cant remember right now) for going out and canvasing the neighboorhood trying to invite as many people as they could. (even on those cold cold days)....We know next time it will be a bigger turnout, or even just a turnout lol, hope you guys will come again next time, and we better have more of you guys show up too!....check out the Today calendar for the dates of the next two (one in May another in June!)

My first week at HL

Hello. My name is Jhaleel Belton. I'm 15 years old. I enjoy working on computers. I like to cook here at HL and help staff members. I like to travel as well. My first week at HL has been interesting because I learned different things about video. I've never been in any other after school programs before. HL so far has helped me get to places I want to find on the computer. I'm also learning about cooking.

Not Even 13

What's poppin my name is Sheleasa aka Hetchie I been down with HarlemLive 4 about
a month now. I feel like I'm doin' big things I'm on three basketball teams and I get good
grades in school. I come to HL everyday after school, do my homework, do my thing
(my work) I get out in the public and do stories. I can't stand Rich but he's ok.We eat
here at HarlemLive, we have a GREAT cook Selly, who cooks daily.

Movin Forward!

I'm so excited about HarlemLive since the move to our new digs. The space has provided us the opportunity to work more closely, get to know all the newbies and get more done....I think. I'm working hard so don't expect much from me on this blog....peace

Before 12

hey wats up its nana the new shem doing my thing all day every day harlemlive has helped alot of people thats its not even a joke I'm serious I'm 11 years I entered harlemlive at the same age shem did I am a photographer just like shem and I'm FEARLESS ya digg selly richie rich and mel they cool and a big help thats why I've succeded so much.

the truth

well, i've been here for a good month or so. and so far, im enjoying every minute of it. everyone here is like one big dysfunctional family (hahahahaha!!). we can all jus be ourselves around each other. so far i've completed two stories. my first one was the interview with Bishop E. Bernard Jordan about his new book about positive thinking ( i cant remeber the name..). I was kinda nervous about it but the interview went really well. I also did a story about mental enslavement in the black community. its a very controversial topic and i did find myself kinda frustrated because there were so many ideas and stuff and I didn't know how to squeeze it all into one story....but yeah, so thats the deal. im not really sure what else im supposed to write. but the food here is good too. lol
